1. prepare the system 

   sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r` build-essential xinetd


2. download 

   a) log on to https://www.vmware.com/freedownload/p/download.php?cmp=EMC-ServerActivation&li=license
      
      rlei7777777@gmail.com
      passwd: iwr',/y.

      Licensing: VMware Server 2 for Linux  A852M-P018J-0GL72-4K1K5 

   b) download "VMware Server 2 for Linux Operating Systems 64-bit version" to samba sharing folder "share_lei" via windows (/home/lei)


3. Extract the TAR  ("VMware-server-2.0.1-156745.x86_64.tar.gz")

   tar xvfz VMware-server-2.0.1-156745.x86_64.tar.gz


4. install

   cd /home/lei/vmware-server-distrib/

   sudo ./vmware-install.pl


5. access to VMware 

   http://192.168.1.100:8222



   
6*. to un-install it

   sudo vmware-uninstall.pl  
   

      


  







3. sudo dpkg --install webmin_1.480_all.deb


4. access webmin: https://ubuntu9:10000/
